HCMC Car Show
This is the plan:
The show will go on. The forecast seems to indicate that the bad weather will show sometime in the afternoon, so we will start registration at 10 AM as planned. We will keep an eye on the skies and if it looks like the weather is moving in we will speed up the process a bit. Right now the original plan is to have all ballots in by 1 and have the awards and raffle results at 2, but if it looks like it's going to get rough we will move that timeline up an hour.
Hey, it wouldn't be an HCMC show if it didn't rain!

BTW Dan, I did get a chance to compare this year's club shirt color with the GHIG on the cars. It's a perfect match. Just sayin'.
That's for the HCMC members that are going to be helping with the setup. Registration begins in Holly Springs at 10 AM for those just attending the show. Of course if you want to come help set up I surely won't stop you.

The show went pretty well, the rain held off and we had decent attendance. I'm guessing the next show we have at this location will be better attended still, it's a pretty good location.
Anyway, it was a popular choice award like we did at the dragstrip, we had categories for Ford, GM, Mopar and import. We didn't have any imports registered...so this happened.

Yes, that is my nasty-*** Subaru, bird droppings on the hood and all, that was sitting off in the corner with a generator busily running in the back to provide power for the DJ equipment. It got three votes even though it wasn't actually entered, so it won by default (the other "import" was a G8 Pontiac, made by Holden, that was disqualified because it was entered in the GM category).
What can I say, the club is populated by smart-alecs. Thanks Clark.
