Check over on the classic tech forum and do a search, it's popped up more than once. I think the css kit or something like that is favored. For the classics getting either 1 or 2 piston are more than adequate for street use. 4 and 6 piston are for road racing. you won't need to get power brakes either, just make sure to get a dual bowl master cylinder for safety. I'll post more when I get home, but if you get a kit I can, or probably anybody else on here can help with the install.

I'm home lol. CSRP kits have a lot of positive reviews and will work perfectly for a street cruiser.

My pony will be leaving the driveway via rollback. I'm having more transmission issues. Saturday morning when leaving work the clutch pedal had lot of play, much more than normal. It was difficult to shift gears. Now it won't go into gear at all. Slave cylinder/throw out bearing... ? I don't know $#!+ about transmissions. I never got clutch fading.

 

Awww man that sucks... hope they get it figured out and get ya back on the road!!!!

I figure 3-4hrs of labor IF it's the slave cylinder. I'm really just taking shots in the dark. I'm going to play with it when I get home. I'm looking at some upgrade parts in case I do have to drop the tranny. Why not make this an opportunity... ?

I don't like to spend money... cuz I don't have any. LOL! I can cash out some vacation time and give myself a little gift. Maybe a new racing clutch, slave cylinder, and shifter.

 

Get a new clutch line while you're at it.

Honestly if you're not planning on putting some serious power mods on it I would go with an OEM clutch and get an MGW shifter.

 

I was thinking I'd build the hell out of it now so I don't have to worry about it later. The whole "bigger is better" thing. I was looking at the MGW shifter, looks bad@$$ and I read good things. You know I have no idea what I'm doing.

 

I will try to say this without me being a "Mass Hole" and not letting my Yankee language dominate the conversation....BUT... if I ever find out who put the f'in ding in my door will have to have a plastic surgeon on call to fix their face after I F#$% it up... when I was detailing the car yesterday I found it.... don't know when it happened but they had to know they did it.... F'in people has NO respect for other people's property.... Now I got to get the damn thing fixed....
