Autozone carries M105 and 205 now.

 

I am liking this Thread Steve. I was just think about doing the same thing to mine since there is a Shelby in my area for sell with the same color combo. Not too sure how the vapor will look without stripes. Might go with matte black stripes if I don't like the stripes gone.

Good luck with the build and I can't wait to see the finish beast.

Looking good and I have to agree it is fun watching the progress.
Learning when one is retired it is fun to become a supervisor and sit back and watch.

 

Had a little time and got some more done today..... This was the day I wasn't looking forward to because I had to remove the hood vents and remove the fake gas cap to get all the stripes out from under them. Hope to finish pulling the stripes on Saturday, give it a bath and hood wash/wax on Sunday, then wait for parts to start showing up. Then the last step will be taking it to my buddy's shop that does car wraps, and then I will be ready to finish it up. Here's some pics of progress made today... My fingers are KILLING me from trying to pull these stripes off.

Had to remove the sat radio antenna to get all the stripes out from under it....







Then it was time to remove the Shelby lettering and fake gas cap on the rear decklid....







Then on to the driver side... The small side stripes might have been the toughest so far.





Then the hood....



Remove washer nozzle....









That's where I left it for this evening. I will finish the hood and all that will be left as far as stripe removal is the front bumper and passenger side rocker stripes.
