Question Value?

What is the best way to value a 1965 Mustang? We are considering a purchase.

It is a hardtop coupe. Ground pounder Industries 302 V-8 with GT-40 heads and aluminum radiator with about 40K on the new motor. Carb: Holly 4 Barrel 650 CFM with K & N Air Filter. tranny: C-4, 3 speed auto.

Leaking power steering, A/C freon leaked out, wood grain steering wheel, deep chrome wheels, needs tires. A small patch of rust.

Asking price is $10,000.

I am a new member and not even sure where to post this..

Thanks to anyone who can help. Just looking for a ballpark or advice on where to find someone to value the vehicle in the San Diego area.

I think you went down one too many on the regional chapter list and hit Carolina instead of California.

Good luck on your hunt though.

Ummmm that's pretty high, do you want a car to work on or one in like new condition? Bought mine 10 years ago for 2500, no options coupe with a 289. I'd say 7k max for a nice running project, no more than 3k for a plain jane in need of restoration. if you want something that won't need any work expect to spend 12-18k.
