Mine was noticeable you could see clear as day, but the cop was a bit of a dick about it. I guess he was just doing his job

I mean I can understand where he is coming from. Is it a fix it or ticket type of deal? Where you show you went back to stock you wouldn't have to worry? $700 seems a bit high... ticketed for anything else?

"SECTION 56-5-4840. Selling or using devices or equipment to change design or performance of lamps or reflectors.
It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, offer for sale or use any device or equipment which tends to change the original design or performance of any head lamps or any other lamps or reflectors required by law to be attached to motor vehicles, trailers or semitrailers unless the equipment or device has been approved by the director of the Department of Public Safety. "

In essence... any change to your lights is illegal.

Now I'm getting nervous...
:-(

What's done to your car lights? I know American Muscle claims the Raxiom smoked tail lights are DOT compliant so there is a counter argument....

Well I had the apply it yourself tint from americanmuscle, and I had window tint, but I'm pretty sure I can get out of that. The raxiom smoked taillights look the same as the apply yourself tint.

Dan Todd's are a spray tint, so they're super dark and flat texture. I think polishing them up would fix that So it wouldn't be an issue.

So Clay your ticket(s) totaled to $700, 1 for headlights, 1 for tail lights, and one for windows? Or just one ticket for just tail lights?

No they didn't say anything about my headlights it was my windows and my tail lights. I'm pretty sure I can get out of the window ticket, but not the tail lights.

My taillights are Raxiom smoked units but my headlights and marker lights are spray tint.

Did yours come with a card about the its approved by DOT ( Raxiom Taillights )
They don't care about the headlights and quarter marker lights. All the cops didn't say anything to me about them.
