Default Need Help/Opinions

I'm saving up to buy 2013 GT, and trading my sixxer too to help out with the cost. I want to get a manual since there cheaper and seem more fun and have more power, but haven't driven one or learned. Since I don't know how to drive one thats gonna be a problem. I'm wondering if its a good idea to learn on such a new car? Buying a really old car with stick is not really an option, because of money situation. If you guys could give me some suggestions that would be great! Thanks!

I learned on my first mustang. You pick it up really quick.

Just go to a boat ramp, that should give you the proper incentive to pick it up fast!

But seriously go find a steep parking lot entrance (Bellacinos in Lexington is good) or driveway and practice inching up it.

with the new hill assist on the stangs, a big hill isn't any different than flat now.

I forgot about that, drove my friends car with it and my reaction was wtf? Get rid of that crap!

You can also go to car max and "test drive" a lot.

Just save up an extra $2000 for a new clutch and then have at it.

I'm not old enough to test drive I'm only 16, and plus I don't think they will let someone drive a stick car if they don't know how to drive it lol

Who said anything about telling them you know how to drive a stick? My friend told the ford crew at an ecoboost challenge that he "knew" how to drive a stick, and then proceeded to stall out 5 times and ended up being pushed to get started lol. Stopped giving my wife lip about driving a stick after that too (she now drives one daily and he doesn't lol).
