Reminds me of the first year my friend and I entered his '67 camaro in one of the local car shows that has a rod run afterwards. We were on our way out to the starting location and the car quit running. We managed to limp it back to his house and get a new alternator installed before the rod run :P ...damn, all i talk about are vettes and camaros lol...needless to say my friend is a Chevy guy, but I'm all Ford!

We had his '67 out to Kool Deadwood Nites 2 years ago and did the 1/8th mile track after the rod run they have during that. That was the first 1/8th mile track i'd ever been to. I'd like to try autocross out this year for sure though.

 

Yeah mustang rally uses same drag way. I haven't brought my car to kooldw nights but i've gone a few times. I've always preferred mustangs myself, just so mod friendly! But it kinda runs in the family haha. dads got a 86 5.0 gt t-top, and aunt has a 67 fastback!

I couldn't own anything other than a mustang heh

 

Yeah I grew up on Fords. Dad drove them, Mom Drove them, Grandpa drove them. Uncle owned owned a dealership up until a few years ago(retired). I'm SOO excited to be getting back into a mustang. The SHO is a lot of fun, but it's just too big of a car for me.

 

If you all wanna join some of us in Pierre June 15 they have a corvette/Mustang rally that day.

Ahh as much as i would love to go i wont be able to make it, maybe next year il be able to! Going to the strip on the 14th to see what my car can do for the first time. Too bad its only 1/8th mile but better than nothing!

 

nah, you need to come to pierre. its a full nhra 1/4 mile sanctioned strip :P

by the way, who all plans on doing sturgis? Went last year with friends (if you saw the white 97 roush cobra convertible parked at the roush van by the thunderdome last year that was his).
then the damn ford dealer had to have a ghig one sitting there too... well, thats how I ended up with a mustang dammit... and my fusion sport wasnt a slouch either.

 

I'm defiantly going to the sturgis mustang rally, been looking forward to it all year every year haha. Cant come soon enough

 

Damn locoone, that sounds like a lot of fun. It's such a haul for me though. I'm definitely planning to get to Sturgis this year for the rally (if the car ever gets here). I'll have to see what my schedule is like, but i'm not sure if i'll be able to get up there for the 15th events and I don't think the car will be here by then anyway.

 

So who is going to be here in sturgis then? I'll be there for sure
