I cant get my avatar picture to be a good size and look clear.

we cant do anything till you give us the picture.

 

sorry if this sounds stupid but how do i do that?? if it matters its the one thats on it right now i just want it bigger and better quality if possible

well post up the original picture... that was bigger and of better quality.

you gotta host it somewhere like imageshack.us and then give us the link (preferrably in image tags, so its embedded in the post).

i dont remember, but there may be a sticky on how to post images. if you get stuck, you can atleast read through the applying your sig tutorial.

ok what did i do wrong

 

putfile sucks, you cant hotlink large images. What you did was right but you linked to a website and not a picture. for instance when you goto that site you have to right click on the image and click view image then use that link

 

use [img] and [/img] for your tags...

 

what website should i put them on to be able to do that then??

 

imageshack works fine...

 

i always use [IMG][/IMG]

just highlight the link and press the image button above the reply box

anyway. the reason your link most likely didnt work, is because the picture was probably clickable. this site doesnt like linkable pictures, so to be able to embed the picture in your post, you have to make the image available somewhere where you can view the image without being able to click it.

basically the image cant double as a link, or else it wont show up here.
