color change
sup Choppers, i have an easy one for you. I have a 95 SC which is Kameleon Blue, but it's more like purple. it sucks
i really like the Mystic color on the 03 cobras.
i'd like to see what my car would look like in that color if possible.

beacause only the factory mystic/mystichrome cobras are allowed to have that paint. if you own one and get in an accident, you have to show proof of ownership and some guy has to come out and appraise the damage... they have a special guy do the paint, and they only bring enough to do the spots that need to be done, and not to mention its extremely expensive... a couple hundred per pint.
it mostly has to do with the fact that one of the paints in the mixture is used in money making.

a paint color that's illegal??? couldn't you take a cobra that color to a place and have them match it???? as far as I know it's not illegal to paint a car any color. But maybe you can prove me wrong.
well you cant get that exact color, because like i said they use the ink from money printing in it. but you can get like a Maaco ripoff paintjob, but 1. i would never let Maaco touch my car, and with that kind of color, i wouldnt want anyone trying to recreate the color that wasnt one of the original painters of the color, because its a very complicated paint job.
i would assume its illegal, considering Ford doesnt allow you to get that color, and the ink is used in printing money. if it isnt illegal, i bet Ford would sue your *** for getting ahold of their paint if you did so.

well Harley-Davidson doesn't give out there paint either, and I've taken mine to a PPG paint shop and had them match my gas tank and I used that to paint my fenders, you can't tell the difference. I didn't know they used money ink in the paint though, that might make it hard to match, but you could still try.
