heres a quick one
dont know if you gonna like it!

theyre startin to look a lot better[sm=smiley20.gif]

but you did it again... i dont know what is with you in cutting the car off? i mean you can obviously tell when you doing it in photoshop, why dont you fix it?[&o]

you wanna keep it so you dont see those lines where you have white, then a line, then more white. (you know where, you obviously made the background the forum color, but you did something to make it show exactly where your sig ended)

its a lot harder with shadows, but with the car itself its kinda blatant when you chop half the wheel off

if its because youre having trouble with going around the wheel smoothly, do like you told the other guy, take it slow and go in very small increments. you can use a ton of different tools also to get that to come out smooth.

you can use quick mask mode with the elliptical tool, which is take the elliptical tool (the round one thats part of the square selection tool), make a circle, then hit the Q button, and the screen will either turn red leaving the circle in color, or the other way around. then if you hit ctrl+T it will take you into free transform mode, and you can adjust the size and shape of that circle to the exact shape of the wheel.

once you get it to be in the shape of the wheel, exit the transform mode like you would for any other application, and then hit the Q button again to exit quick mask mode, and then it will give you a nice round selection.

from there you can hold down the shift button and use the polygonal lasso to select the rest of the car, and/or do the same exact steps for the second wheel.

if you have grass in the way of the wheel, there's not a whole lot you can do about it. you can either just leave the background so the grass is part of the picture, or you can just do your best to get rid of the grass with the Clone Stamp tool and the Healing Brush. you may have to smudge, blur, etc to get it to go away. or sometimes you may have to cut out the grass into a new layer, desaturate it, and change the color/brightness to the color of the wheel, to hide it with the wheel.

if you dont get any of this, or parts of this, let me know and ill show you. thats what im here for. im not just here to do crap for the members asking for requests, im here to give you guys a hand. i was once new at this, and i had people here to show me things, and now im here to show you guys some of the stuff i had to figure out

first start out by using borders. it looks very noobish by not using borders.

second, you have to either decide if you wanna make your background complex or simple.

if you make it simple, you cant go with a cookie cutter background, and if you go complex, you wanna fade stuff in the background, without making it look too busy.

next you maybe wanna add some transparent overlays, like scan lines or something else like that.

then the most key concept. DONT CUT THE CAR OFF!!!! the car is the #1 priority in the sig, seeing that this is a car site and all. thats one reason why i like simple sigs, your showing off the car, not your artwork in someone elses posts.

you gotta make the car the first priority. when you cut the car off, or make the background too complicated, then the background becomes the more desirable then the car to look at, and thats not what you want.

just keep playing around

I really like how the car is the main theme. The wheel thing like what was said is the only thing that isn't right. I do like how the colors in the back ground seem to make the color of my car stand out. Is it ok if I see some other ideas to? Again, I think you did a great job. Keep up the good work!
