I have figured out how to chop a picture, but when I save it and open it back up it takes a white background. How should I save the image once I have chopped the unwanted background out so I can open the image without the background? I am using Photoshop.

Save it as a .png file and that will leave it in a transparent stage for you.

 

Or make the background color 241 241 241
