Design help please
I have anidea of a custom 65 Fastback. I can see it in my head, but lack the talent to put it on paper. This is is my thoughts so far. First, I think the car will be called "Dark Knight" as I can see it in Black Gloss. I want to do several custom mods to the carto make it very distinct. I also would like to blend in some Shelby Racing heritage by maybe using a "Coat of Arms" shield as a focal point (Terlingua Racing Team) on the deck lid. For the engine, I like the 32 valve Modular 4.6. So here are my thoughts. The body is a 65 Fastback. The roof is lowered from 3 to 4 inches leaving the windshield the same size but adjusting the angle to match the chop. I would like to use 69 front fenders as they have some curviture that would accent the design. Also, they can be stretched from 2 to 3 inches to give a lower profile appearence. The hood will be a focal point of the build. I would like to start about 12 to 15 inches back with a 4 or 5 inch tall by about 20 inches wide cowl running the lenth of the hood maybe with a couple of polished aluminum vent openings about 16 inches from the rear of the hood. The wheel openings will need to be re-radiused to fit some 17 or 18 inch one off polished aluminum rims. A large vent openinglike the 66 Shelby, except taller and about an inch wider would be neat.May or may not delete the door handles. The rear quater vent will be shortened and glass like a 66 Shelby. No vent windows in favor of a one piece window. On the front, I thinksomething like(forgive me) the Dodge Charger headlight assemblyor something with that lookwould be neat. The center crease in the lower part of the air dam will have to be smoothed. Also, a couple of openings for the brake coolers. The 65 Mustang grill could be intrigated into the upper opening. The rear of the car will be left original 65 unless someone has a good idea for that. Thanks for any assistance and all ideas are welcome.
