Im thinking about painting my hood black in the middle with a scoop like 99+ GT's. Here is an example of what I mean, to give you the idea. Its not very good, I dont have good programs to use. Can anyone help me out with this so i can see how it looks?

heres my try.. daym I'm getting rusty and I didn't spend a whole lotta time on it.. I found a hood in the gallery and first one with even a remotely close angle I took.. I tried to get reflections out of the scoop and put the scoop where there are no reflections in the hood, didn't work so now there should be reflections on the scoop that I couldn't emulate on there that quick. anywho I think it gets the point across- that scoop would look funky on your hood.

Thanks man, yea, it looks okay. I really like it when the strip is painted in front of the scoop like mach1's. But if I get the scoop bondo'd on there, then the whole hood would need to be painted. And i dont want that. Do you think you could alter it to only be black on the scoop and in front of it? Thanks so much man, this helps a lot. Dont want to do anything that makes my car look bad. Thats why we do this chop stuff, lol.

 

Yeah, I want to put a 99+ scoop on my hood too...

 

I think it would look sweet. I just wanted to get an idea. Our hoods are pretty boring as they are.

 

I really don't think it would look right, the 99 scoop is more boxy than your year. Also with the paint infront of the hood just that little area the problem is theres no lines again to accentuate that. I think your best look will be the whole section that is raised on your hood painted black, I liked the way that looked. Sorry I can't do it right now I have to do some homework but I can probably give that a try tonight if you like.

 

Ok, thanks man. Yea, ! just want a scoop. I'll look into some others. The black on the hood looks cool. With a black top, tint, black mustang letter inserts, and black rims......nice

 

def. the black section of the hood looks killer IMHO. I'm sure there will be a sweet hood scoop out there for ya, if not since it's being custom fab'd in why don't you just have them custom fab you a hoodscoop too?
