Angry Lost a PSD Need HELP!!!

Here's what happend, I was working on a photoshop (been working on it for a month now off and on) I am about an hour away from finishing it and decided to save. As soon as I pressed save and it was saving my computer shut off (low battery).
Now when I try to open the file it says:
"cannot complete request because it is not a valid photoshop document"
I'm thinking It's lost for good, but If anyone knows a way it can be restored etc. I would love to hear it.

I'm Soooo F@cking Pissed right now!!!!!!

I'm pretty positive you lost it. The file is there, just corrupt. That's my $.02.

I didn't turn it off. I had unpluged it (labtop) so that I could go to another room and show someone.
When I got back into my room I forgot to plug it back in.

Dammit this sucks!!

Lesson learned.
From now on I'm going to make two PSDs files when working on a project.

Do me a favor, right click and on the menu, see if a option exists for your doc. It should say, "Restore previous versions" See if that works.

It works by creating a backup to your hard drive in the event of file corruption.

My computer doesn't give me that option.
Thanks for the advice though.

I tried restoring my whole computer to a previous date and it still would not open.
