i believe you either need a certain number of posts (50?) or be a contributing member to the forums for about 1 month before you are given permissions for that. but, when that time comes, it is best to get an image hosting site account (like photobucket or imageshack), then upload the pics from there using the image code for the forums which is: [img]name/link_of_file[/img]

place that 'code' in the edit signature section in your user cp
