OK this does not look great but you get the point. How about going with the contour of the hood. Like this.

thanks again guys all the opinions really help i want to make my car look the best it can, i really like the idea of going with the contour of the hood. i was looking at stripes close together but that gave me something else to look at. i like the cowl hoods but seems like a lot of people have them and i was trying to go for something a little diffrent although i do agree stripes look great on them. thanks again for all the replies

Glad you like my idea. something I thought of also is if you do go with stripes have them get fatter as they go back.

 

yea that was a good idea on that hood its something i've never seen before and i think it would catch some eyes im looking into all my options on the stripes and i'll take any idea's anyone can come up with i really just want the best look i can get, thanks for all the help so far guys i really appreciate the work you guys do and how much time it takes
