Xeno, I'm not sure if you ever check threads that you've already moved on from, but I'm wondering what the stripe would look like doing 3 small things.

1. Run the stripe horizontally to the black on hood
2. Run part way, stop
3. Make gradually decreasing in size stripes toward the black on hood but not touching...

also, what direction did you want the fade? smaller towards the center or smaller towards the side stripe? and did you want it in one 'piece' or broken up; like some of the other 'boss' hood stripes... kind of like this:




the 'move' is for grad school in another state; we bought a small house (which was actually cheaper than renting in the long run) and moved everything in over the weekend
