Why cant I EVER get my avatar pics to be small enough? No matter what I do, its bigger than 20kb.

I made a pic thats 115x45, saved as a JPEG on 0 resolution, and its still too big. What the hell?

i get that same problem all the time, sometimes if you resize it in paint and save it AS ANOTHER FILE NAME it a lot of times resizes the file

 

i have yet to figure out how to make the file smaller when that doesnt work

 

You mean you save it on 0 quality? Do you mind posting the pic? The full quality version ( 12 )

 

you cant just click save as.

go to save for web and save as .gif

 

All I am trying to do is get this santa hat in my avatar....but no matter how I save it, I CAN'T make it small enough.

this one is larger in pixels but smaller in size if you want your hat to be a little bigger
