Default Replace Convertible Top

So my wife has come back from 5 different shops with a variety of estimates. She has a 1967 convertible and wants a Brite white top with vinyl window and new pads. What do you think is an appropriate price range?

Anyone? This definitely makes me curious for down the road when I need a top.

i don't know about a custom made top
but you can buy;
a top w/o window for 180
a top w/ plastic "curtain" for 220
a top w/ original style folding glass window for around 400

then pads are around 90

last quote i heard for install was close to 300 by a pro

but install is pretty straight forward if you think you are apt to do it.

$400-500 is about right. Shopping around you should have someone close to $400.

wait ... what? did the 65/66 come standard with a glass rear window that folded down?

Curious as idk if my great gpa had the top replaced in the mid 70s or not but its got a clear vinyl plastic window that unzips and will lay down if you want to leave the top up.

They did not come standard. I do not think you could even order them originally (could be wrong)

a top replacement is 1200-2000 if they make the top, about 600 to install

when i did the top on my fox i paid 150 for the install, i should have bought a staple gun and done it myself
