Default Hood Locks

Hi, I Have 1970 fastback and want to install the twist type hood locks, I need to know what size hole to drill in my hood to install the twist locks. Maybe someone has done this and will remember the correct size. I haven’t bought the locks yet and that’s why I don’t know the correct size. Any help will be appreciated

I have a pair of NOS twist type hood pins for a 68 California special (for sale) and the pin itself requires a 1/2" hole.

The pins you bought should have installation instructions. Mine did.

Yep,
So did mine.
I drilled mine from the bottom up then knarled the holes.
It was pretty easy,Ford intended their race models to have them so the "street" models are an easy install, Everything is there.

Now that you said something I think I'm going with locks on mine too.
I don't want 6 feet of lanyard holding the pins in place when not installed.

Those locks work, but you will forever have to be careful not to scratch the hood paint with your keys whenever you pop the hood. Not a big deal, but it's true.
