Default i inspired my brother

After riding in my mustang, my brother got a wild hair up his *** and had to relive his youth. In H.S. he had a 73 roadrunner. Well after searching on craigslist for a while he found a 74 with the exact same paint/interior combo that his runner had. this car only has 19k original miles on it and has a 440 and a 4 speed. it has the original paint which looks greaat. Not even a door ding. He bought it for 10k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this just shows the power of the stang. i still think my little 289 will spank it though. we will see.

If gas hits $4 again he will curse you everytime he fires up that 440. As I recall they were good for something like 8 or 9 mpg.

Unfortunately with the current batch of idiots we have in elected office, it's not a question of "if", but rather "when" gas hits 4+ dollars a gallon again. Since they have basically shut down all proposed new domestic drilling practically everywhere. It was a very nice score though. I say drive it all you can this summer and hope for the best next year.

The best that I could get out of one driving easy was 12 mpg. And that was with jet changes and ignition tweeks.

Good luck beating a 440 even in a somewhat heavy car like that with a 289. Most 440s I have run gave the ol 455 in the GTO some competition and I havent found a street driven 289 that can hang with the Goat. The one that used to be in my Cougar sure wouldnt, but it was weak for sure. It doesnt take much to get them into the 11s, even with low compression.

It is cool he bought it, I been trying to get my brother to do something with his 70 Challenger 340. He is building a 48 Dodge truck instead. My other brother with the 68 Mustang wants to do some work to it, but the funds just arent there yet. He could really use a 347 and some heads. Sibling rivalry is a good way to end up either broke or with a stupid fast car. Guess who has the stupid fast car in my family.
