Question new and need help,69 fastback

im new here and i was needing help with a few things

1. i just bought a 69 fastback it has sat in the same place since 1978 OVER DIRT are there any things that i really need to do to it besides try to tap out all the weak spots and see whats left, change the motor and tranny and all the stupid stuff like breaks and wheel bearings?

2.i have an electronic shift tranny out of a 85 f150 82,000 miles on it from a 351 w i need to know if there is a cheap way to make it work in the 69 OR if any one is close enough to trade for one that is non electric

3.i need to find a way to make an electronic distributer work in the 69 or if any one is close enough to trade for a points distributer 351w

Going back to points is a huge step back just get a msd box and you'll be a lot happier.Which tranny is out of that truck is it a aod if so you need to buy or make a crossmember to fit it.The engine will work but You'll have to change the oil pan and pick up to a front sump.

Congrats on the car,, post some pics please!!

Check out the FAQ section at the top of the classic forum, there are a lot of questions answered there and great links to help you out with conversions. You can do anything you want to that car, as long as you have the money and knowhow, or at least a little of both..
