Paint and Body Has Begun!
I started this GT350 clone project around a year ago. The car started its life as a 289 2V auto car, with discs brakes. It now has a built 351W, toploader 4 speed. I picked it up from a body shop, who took a California coupe and grafted a fastback top on from a rusted out midwest 1966.
I put the interior together (could post pics if there is any interest), and wrestled with the motor for a while. I ended up rebuilding it and it now runs really nice. It has a lot of cam, but it really gets up and goes.
Now that I had the interior (less headliner) completed and it was running the way I wanted, it was time to move on to body and paint. It has been at the shop for a week and so far I am real happy with the guy doing the work. He is taking his time and doing it right. He is uncovering sins of the past and making it right.
Here are some pics before it goes off for paint:

I have a few weeks to think about paint color, but I think I will be going wimbledon white / guardsman blue stripes. Yea, I did some things backwards on the car, but the inside had quite a lot of work to do and I didn't want to mess up the paint taking the shelf in and out. Suspension has lowered A arms, 1 inch sway, 1 inch lowering blocks in back.
