Thanks guys. The water pump is a Meziere electric pump. Behind it is a Jesel belt drive. I did buy a F.A.S.T. air fuel monitor. I want to get the J&S Safeguard knock sensor. The wife does not know the heads were in the dishwasher. A lot of stuff happens when she isn't here. The details are below. I am running a toploader 4 speed. This one has cost much more than I had anticipated. Once I started I wanted to do it right. The only thing I didn't do but wished I had was use a Dart block. I shouldn't have any problems if I don't rev it too high. I had to order the pilot roller bearing yesterday. I am using a sealed and shielded roller bearing to keep any clutch dust from getting into it.

Ford late model roller block. Completely prepped and .030 bore
Lifter valley girdle
main stud girdle and windage tray
TFS street heads. Mild port and major clean up. Port match. New springs and valves
Erson custom solid ground cam spec'd by Steve Tanzi 592 lift
PBM solid roller link bar lifters
Comp Cams Magnum 7/16" roller rockers
JoMar rocker stud girdles
Scat forged internals. Balanced
Mahle coated -16 cc pistons
Jesel Belt drive
Meziere elec water pump
Weiand 174 supercharger
Demon 775 cfm RS
Professional Products Harmonic Balancer
Aluminum flywheel
Moroso 9 quart oil pan
FPA 1 3/4" stepped headers
CSR swivel water neck
Complete MSD ignition

With that much oil in the car does that mean you don't change it as much? Is that for better oil pressure throughout or what?

I think that the larger oil capacity keeps the oil cooler. I also thought that it kept the pan from running dry under high RPM. Is any of this true?

Some pans are deeper and they call them an 8 quart pan but you dont have to run 8 quarts in them. It moves the oil farther from the crank so there is less foaming from windage. Another thing is if the engine has a drain back issue the oil pump can drain the pan before it gets back down from the valve covers, and a larger capacity helps with that. I have a 7qt Canton pan on my 467 Pontiac and I only run 5 quarts in it otherwise I get oil out the dipstick tube from windage and a bit of crank case pressure.

Super nice motor. Will it be street legal height with the blower?

I've run the engine on and off for the last month. Here it is after we got the Demon RS adjusted. Still need a good tune.
