Default advice needed.

hey ya'll, you may or may not remember me, i have a 65 coupe thats rusted all out. Im 17 and getting ready to start college next fall. i planned on restoring it. but after learning alot about mustangs and cars in general... ive come to see this car is a lost cause. i dont have the money assets or skills avaible to restore it. so im planning to part it out cause i believe its worth more in parts than it is as a whole. my main question is, it has a 200 i6 runs good. id like to go thru the motor with my moms boyfriend, who is a master engine builder. im wondering if it would be worth the time and money to re build the carb and paint the block ect... or if its a waist of time. i dont really know, all opinions would be appriciated.

For parting it out?

A total wast of time unless you want to PAY for the experience of rebuilding.

If I were buying a 200 6, I would prefer to buy one that is either unrebuilt or one with a REPUTABLE warranty.

what if i just cleaned it up and re-painted the block? do you think that would make it worth more?

No many people want a smaller ford inline 6 rebuilding it might make it sell faster but i doubt you'll break even with the price of it.Look on here how many inline 6 cars get swapped to a v8.

Someone with a Falcon is more likely to want/need it.
