Shipping
Ok so the 302 block is in the machine shop right now and I should get it later this week. I sold my 200 and will be shipping it off later this week as well. My question is what have you guys/gals used to keep the engine upright in the crate? I thought about making something like a wood stand to mount inside the crate and strap it down. Would that do good?
I shipped 2 big blocks from CA to NJ by welding angle iron to an old set of motor mounts then bolting them to a 4x4 that was in turn bolted to the pallet. Did the same on the rear of the motor although I just bolted the angle iron to rear of the block. Could have hung the whole thing upside down by the pallet and it wasn't coming off.
I've also wrapped smaller motors in shipping saran wrap, dropped it into a box and filled the box with expanding foam. Holds it in nice and tight, just a biotch to unpack

Yeah the header is going with it. Only the T5 adapter and frame mounts aren't going.
I sold it over on fordsix.com
I haven't really looked but I'm sure someone over there has a header for sale.
