Engine problem
Well I just finished the structural restoration on my 67 inline 6 mustang, and I found a problem with my engine. It is the gasket between the carb and intake. When I shut the car off after it has been running a while gasoline soaks through the gasket and drips on the intake and exaust. I have already replaced that gasket and I used gasket dressing(gasoline approved of course). And now it's leaking again, any ideas?

A few ideas.
The intake mounting surface is not flat. A machine shop could resurface.
The intake is cracked somewhere and is moving when it gets hot/cold.
The carb is leaking from some other area but looks like it is coming from the gasket
Post some pics of it leaking, it would be valuable to assist.
P.S. have a fire extinguisher with you at all times.

I would say that your carb is leaking somewhere, probably from the bowl that holds the gas. Check to make sure that those bolts are tight and/or replace those gaskets. Before you start your car next time, unscrew the bowl side peep screw to see if there is still fuel in the bowl. It might be leaking out down the side into the manifold.
With no vacuum [ie car isn't running] or gas pedal pressure, no fuel should be coming out of your carb.
Also, gas could be leaking out while you're running, you may not notice it because it gets burned off the hot motor. This could mean that your float valve/pin thing is not stopping the flow of gas from the fuel pump to the carb bowl causing it to over flow onto your manifold.

Rebuild kit
I want to just rebuild the carburetor, eventhough it looks like it has been rebuilt professionally before. The carb is not original to the car. When I got the car it didn't have a carb. The guy said it was from a ford falcon. I'm trying to identify the carb so I can find the right rebuild kit. All the tag says is MOTORCRAFT DOPF M. And what the carb says is
MOtORCRAFT DOPF-9510M45313. Any ideas?
