Default I think I've caught Mustang fever

Around the corner from me is what I believe is a 67 or 68 hard top mustang. I see it almost every day and it just sits there, rusting away. I want to rescue it, but it's in rough shape and I don't have much, if any experience working on cars.

Quick, talk me out of it before I do something stupid.

Damn you guys, you aren't helping.

It isn't terrible but there's definitely some rust. I'll take some pictures in the next day or two and you all can give you your thoughts.

Ok, here she is. Odometer reads a bit over 68k, but it could be 168k

Is the body the sort of work a total novice could do? And what gives it away as a 68?

Side markers. 67's didn't have them. 68 was all about safety. LOL
