I have a chance to buy a 1973 Mustang Grande.

This one is a one owner car bought new and still in the same town in central Texas where it was purchased new. It has been garaged all it's life, never wrecked and is all completely original and unmolested. I'm not sure of which engine it has, but I know it's a V8/Auto. I haven't checked the mileage but I'd bet it is under 100k. I know the old man still drove it ocassionally as recent as 3 years ago. I don't think it is running at the moment, but is probably just a new battery and fresh gas away from being able to crank it up and back it out of the garage.

I know this car's whole history, my plan isn't to flip it, but to keep it. I've got first chance/final offer on this deal, I'm wondering what I should put into this car.

 

take a close look at it. Determine the condition of the vehicle do some research and offer accordingly.

 

It has some bad and some good about it.The bad its a 73 the 71-73 are kinda the red headed step child of the early mustangs not many like them and its a coupe too.The good its a one owner car.As far as what its worth pictures will speak louder then words but for it to be worth over 6 grand to me it should look brand new inside out under it even in the trunk.

 

Grandes are nice cars and are usually very well optioned. I've owned one but sold it when I needed money for a new driveway. Getting stuck in your front yard while trying to go to work really blows. It was a real nice cruiser with a 351C, AC, power windows, power disc brakes and power steering. What more could you ask for in a classic?
