Default 67 Fastback Value

Found 67 Fastback C code but has a 4bl in it. It is ROUGH in my opinion. Rust all over needs a lot of rust control, probably replacing a few rocker panels and panels. Interior is decent, headliner hanging down and dash cover is toast. There is front end damage to the bumper and radiator cross member. Radiator needs to be replaced. Needs general body welds under the hood. According to the garage owner it runs and drives. The entire car needs to be painted. Frame is ok. It's a heap but with some love could be pretty nice. I know putting a value on these cars is not subject to any specific formula but I am just trying to get general opinions about what one would pay. The gentleman that owns the garage it's at is saying 7K as is and 10-15K if he decides to fix the rust and front end. That's not restored, not painted and nothing else done. I thought 7K was steep. I would have expected 2-5K for it. 10-15K is out of the question just because some welds are made. I am finding fully restored or near mint condition 67 fastback's around me from 20-25K. I want one like this so I can restore it myself. Any opinions on that asking price?

Thanks in advance.

If he is asking that much, he probably doesn't really want to sell it. With no pictures it is hard to say, but I wouldn't pay over 3k for anything that needs a lot of rust control and panel replacement unless it was really rare.

The frames always have rust hidden somewhere in a 67, especially if the rockers are bad.

Whats the top of the aprons look like as far as rust etc..?

A drivable car is one thing, but if it needs rebuilt I personally would not spend more than 5K.

It's hard to say without seeing pictures but in my opinion he's probably not THAT far off asking 7k but again, without pictures who's to say. I would think with your description and price it is safe to say that if you don't buy it then someone else will. If it helps at all, I paid 6k for both of my rust bucket 68 fastbacks. It is what it is.

Eeeeeeeek. You weren't kidding when you said rough. I would keep looking, you can probably find a better deal out there than that.

Yeah the whole car is like that not just the areas I focused on. That's why I thought 7K was a little too much. I am thinking more along the lines of 3 to 4K. 4K only because i understand you can make the argument "some one will buy it".

im thinking along the line of 1200$ or less..youll have 10k in sheetmetal to fix it.you might as well just buy a new dynacorn body over that...
