Default Power steering Control valve

Hi guys looking for a little help on a 1970 Mach1 I remove the control valve for the power steering and rebuilt it with the rebuilding kit when steering the vehicle when I begin to steer to the left the wheel turns automatically by itself then I turn to the right and the wheel proceeds to turn by itself the lines are connected the same way they were removed does anyone have any ideas why he would do this
Also revving the motor would increase the speed of the wheel turning
