Anyone know how to fix this? I'm getting ready to paint the engine bay but it looks like there is a bunch of bondo along this ridge. I'd rather not just slop more bondo on top of it to smooth it out but do I have any options?

That bondo is factory. Grind it out and replace it. Beware of opening up the leaking cowl can of worms.
