Angry 1968 ignition/starter problems ...

Hi ..
When I try to start my 1968 year mustang....
The starter hang up and keep going...could not turn it of with the key ..
What has happend...run out and shut the battery off.
But starter will still run as soon as I connect the battery agin..

Anyone knows whats wrong ...

Quite possibly a bad solenoid. Tap the fender solenoid firmly with a screwdriver handle, then plug everything back together and see what happens. If the starter still spins when you hook the battery up, smack the starter itself around the starter solenoid and try again.

Alternatively, you could put an ohmmeter on each side of the fender solenoid and see if you have continuity. If you do, the solenoid needs to be replaced.

It was the starter solenoid that was the problem
