We have power, but no spark?
Hello, I have a 1965 Mustang with a 289. We got a new distributor and a new ignition coil, and we are getting power to it all, but no spark whatsoever. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

No spark from the coil either?
Here is a pretty straight forward diagram of the ignition system

If a standard ignition system, put a spark plug wire on the center of the coil and rest a spark plug against the block . Then, remove wire from coil to distributor . Take a wire from the terminal on the coil from which you just removed the wire to the distributor and repeatedly touch it to the block. Every time you remove it from the block you should see a spark in the spark plug. Oh yeah, the ignition must be turned on.
If No the coil is bad, or the block is not grounded or you have the terminals reversed.
If yes, check that the points open and close and that the condenser is good.
Did you get a new distributor cap and rotor with the distributor? is the rotor making contact with the center pin in the cap?
