Tri Y Headers
a 351 is a taller engine than a 289/302. I am sure that there is someone that makes them.
Pro-Cool 60's look, great for torque
Con-Dated 60's look, better performing headers on the market

I guess I should also say that the 351w will be attached to a C4 tranny. I had looked into some headers thru Summit but I looked around and heard alot of people taking about the tri-y's. What makes them better than a regular style header?
Tri-Y's are not better than modern headers available today, they mainly offer a retro look for those wishing to do more concours upgrades. If you are performance oriented, a set of modern headers by any reputable manufacturer will be better. Once again, depends on what you want, retro styling or restomod. I originally was going with Tri-Y's, but had such a fiasco with the fit with the Tri-Y's that I pitched in favor of a set of JBA Shorty headers, H-Pipe and complete JBA 2 1/2" system.

That's what I was looking for. I'm not worried about concours, I'm doing a restomod. I'll just go with modern headers. Can anyone tell me the benifits of shorty headers over long headers?

That is the most beautiful under side of a car that I have ever seen. A similar shot of mine would show torn torque boxes, rusted frame rails and the back side of the road signs that I used to replace the floor pans. Man I have some work ahead of me
From my experience, on a stock 351w Tri-Y's are just OK, Most have 1-1/2" primary tubes, which would choke down a higher flowing engine (like if you were to add some 185 or 205 heads or Cleveland heads, or even the stock heads ported).
Shorty's are good for clearance issues, but will not produce the power of a long tube header, all else being equal. Of course there are some pretty crappy long tube headers out there too.
IMO if you are running a mildly built 351W say up to around 350 HP, The JBA shorty's will do a nice job. The nicest part is the ball style collector that does not leak!
If you are building for more than 350HP look into a set of long tube, and if you can swing it, get the ceramic coated headers and head pipes. C4's do not like a lot of heat over long periods of time. Usually the first thing to cook is the servo sealing band, then it just goes down hill from there. If you don't do a lot of long drives you may never see this problem.
