depends on your cam. the performer is good to 5500 rpm stock or mild cam. the torker 2 is good from 2500 to 6500 rpm so unless you have a cam that works in that range it would make your car run like s**t.
Yup, all depends on how you drive the car, that the manifold is matched to the rest of the components and whether or not your engine is built for higher rpm's. Unless you have matched a lot of high rpm parts and have a well built new 289, you're better off with a Performer 289 - the Torker is fine if you have an engine capable of sustained higher revs and can handle that sort of abuse.
