Warm water, a sponge and just a little bit of dish washing soap in a bucket is what I use. Stay way from things like armor all.

Be very weary of these "little bubbles" take care of them first thing. I too had little bubbles and it turned into a 3 month body work fest. The paint ford used was very good at hiding what is really goin on underneath.[X(]

You use dish soap?! Your only supposed to use that to strip the old wax off. I've always been told to never use dish soap on paint.

Yeah, dish washing soap is not a good idea as it is too strong for the paint jobs that have been prepped. Use a car washing liquid soap and a sponge to wash the car. Immediately chamois the car after washing. Use a good polish/wax after every three or four washings. I like two products. Maguires, and Mother's California Gold.

In 100% agreement with Soaring... no dish soap, doesnt help the paint at all.

I used Blue Corral soap last year and it seems to work o.k. Probably have to get something better for her this summer though. I love the Meguires Tech wax paste for waxing. Gooood stuff.

Since she has been sitting since 81, I would use the three stage stuff that Meguires sells. The first step is a cleaner that gets off the oils and old dead paint, the second is a polish and the third stage is a wax. I don't like the wax because it doesn't last very long, so I just finish up with the Meguires Tech polish that 19Stang66 mentioned. It goes on easy, and comes off easy. The point is to use a cleaner first.

Oh yea, I also did the 3 step cleaning thing too. Takes forever, but man does it pay off.
