Default honest what do you say!?

Hey guys I really can put a price on this so could you help me out? I have a pearl white 66 with a black vynal top, she has a few chips in the paint but body is pretty much perfect. It was rebuilt about 20 some years ago and ive been doing my best to keep it up. Sadly a month ago i blew the #1 pison to 1,000,000 pieces. So I took it apart and my block has a inch deep crack in the wall. So I had paid for a local engine builder to build me a 302 30 over and they said it will be about 2 weeks. I month later there sill giving us B.S. excuses why its not done, I decied I will just sell it without a engine, So i have this 66 with a clean engine bay, and all she needs is an engine from someone and they got themselfs a great 66. I have new hedman headers, perfectly cleaned and painted; tranny(3speed) w/ clutch assbly sill in the car, bellhousing, timing cover, oil pan, power stearing pump, radiator, alterator, and edelbrock 600cfm performance carb. Has 40 series flomasters with h pipes. Also chrome edelbrock valve covers and an alarm with remote key ring. I hope i listed everything. I have put way to much money in this car then i could afford to loose but thats the price for a classic. help me out guys what you think?

Personally, I think it would be dumb to sell it. Without the engine, you are not going to get the price it is worth. Be patient, and get the engine overhauled, put it back in and drive it yourself.

Why are you selling it, because you dont thave the motor back? Is it a money thing? Thats a very nice looking coupe you have, If it was me, I'd buy a brand new ford crate engine
and keep it. You'll be sorry if you sell it. Unless you really need the money bad, then do what needs to be done, but dont sell it because some dip **** isnt done rebuilding your engine, go get your self another engine!

Yeah, I agree with these guys, selling it without the engine will lower the price too far, and you will not get what you deserve for all the time and money you put into it. If you still want to sell it, you should at least get an engine for it so it will go for a good amount of money, as it should (it looks like a very nice coupe).

You should either get some other engine, or make that fool who is building your current engine get it done!

I say keep it, dont let that thing go. Although its not my ideal mustang, i know for a fact that the majority of the population would love an original looking mustang like that....in terms of stock look, its beautiful. An engine is fixable, so fix it...i mean if you have the silver stang to drive around in the background and dont have a lot of money, you should just build an engine slowly over time buying the parts one at a time...go find a solid block out of junk yard or something and clean it up and get it right and just build it up.....just dont get rid of it even if you have an intention to buy another classic stang because u wont get what you deserve for what it is....

Yeah I agree with you guys on the money situation, Its not easy to get money when you want it, well let me explain my situation...Im 17 and ive been helping my dad build cars and rebuild them sense I don't even know. My dad is building a model A currently and the garage is just parts and tools everywhere and with me doing a bunch of things things to my car its very hard, we use many of the same tools. Also I am a senior and Ill tell you what is sucks getting rides from your girlfriend to school. haha. The main thing is my parents really want me to sell may car and they want to get me a new 06 mustang(v6)[:'(] for college. I not going to complain, i am very greatfull to have my parents want to get me a new car, i just love working on cars, but i guess i will have my dads projects to help on. So bottom line is i would be selling it anyways, so should i continue trying to get another engine and wait another ...i dont know how long to get it...or sell it to someone and let them put whatever engine and tranny they want in it and i could get my car so i can go get a job, go to school, and start making mods to it.. haha yeah if you dint notice we are deffinatly a ford family...well thanks for your help guys and let me know.

if it was me id shoot for the GT...only a few more thousand and you got a V8....and a true muscle car...not a grocery getter.

anyways...if your getting a new mustang anyways....u might as well sell your car and give the money to your parents and have them get you a GT instead of V6...just because....well...its V6.
