If the suspension and rear end were upgraded to a V8 along with the engine, then the value of the car will be better. There should be a Mustang club in Nashville. Look it up, and call them to ask advice about the best paint/restoration shop in your area. Body panels are another thing. You have to be careful where you buy them, because repop panels made in China suck. Check with NPD to see if they have what you want.

hey thanks. i dont think that anything else has been changed on the car. even acclerator linkage hasent been changed, there is not enough fuel getting to the engine when you hit the pedal. its going to be a good while until the car is back to cherry. the body isnt in bad shape all parts can easely be salvaged so panels are not really a concern.

Sounds like the V8 conversion was southern engineered. Sorry 'bout that. Take a look in the FAQ section above to see how it is done correctly.

What do you mean you are not from here. You are in Nashville, the heart of Dixieland. I have seen and heard of V8 conversions into I6 Mustangs without changing the suspension and rear, but that is taxing on the suspension and rear. Take your time, and upgrade as you have the time and money.

i mean im not originally from nashville. yeah i got on and looked at a rear end from a 93 mustang at a local pull apart i think im going to check it out later this week. hopefully i can find a front en as well. if im wrong correct me but i shouldnt have any trouble with putting in racket pinion steering along with a newer suspension upgrade correct? im not sure b/c i havent done much suspension work in the past. so any and all advice is welcome.
