help identifying transmissions
ok i need some help identifying these transmissions. i've done extensive research but can't find any decoders or much information about them anywhere.
the one on the left came out of a Lincoln. it has 14 pan bolts and was said to be a c6 w/ overdrive, which i'm told does not exist. so, what is it? the plate on the transmission is as follows:
PKA M5
012589 C12
E0VP DF
So far i'm sure that this tranny was made in 1980 (E0VP), and that's all i know.
the one on the right looks like the one on the left. it came out of a f100 w/ a carburated 302 (i have the engine too, so i'm positive it's a 302). the seller said it was a 1983 pickup, but who knows. i'm not sure how many bolts in the pan or what the numbers on the plate are, being i'm not home right now. however, the pan does say "Ford .... Overdrive" on it. I remember the plate date code saying D9xx (1979). any ideas?

AOD. Am I blocked or something? Just curious.... I have probably 5 of them as cores.
Google Ford AOD and look for pan gasket shapes. (If ya dont believe an ASE certified Master Tech)
They need a few extra parts to be replaced when rebuilt, like the governor, and a valavebody is a good idea. The spool valves in them tend to stick once you unbolt the VB from the case.

yea i figured there were both AOD's simply thru my research, but there was no way for me to be sure. is there a decoder that i can use for the tags on them? if not, why the hell is there even a tag on there if i can't find out what the numbers mean?
oh and thanks for the tips, both of these will be completely gone through.
