i think it allows you to pop off your steering wheel really quickly...like press of a button....

anti theft? maybe.... i sorta dont see what the point would be....ive only heard of them for racing for whatever reason.

so you drive down to the store, and you dont want your car stolen, so you pop the steering wheel off with the cool quik release device whatever....then you go shopping with a steering wheel in hand??? just get the stick or disconnect the battery....or bypass your neutral safety switch and put it in gear so the car wont start even though its in park....

yeah but assuming someone manages to break into your car and get access to the steering wheel....wouldnt make it that much easier to take the wheel if its just sitting in the car? also....maybe it prevents the car from being stolen...but then your up a creek cuz your window is broken and the steering wheel is gone cuz the guy took it....i dono...it could be cool, but i doubt i would buy it...

i just got my new steering wheel like 5 minutes ago!!

i got the wheel, the adapter kit, but they forgot the turn signal cam repair kit!!!!

im dying now because i cant put the wheel on til they send that out now....AHH THIS SUCKS....

I think those quick release wheels are more for race car application. Not too big with us street car dudes.

Yeah, like if you have a full rollcage, and your doors don't open, it is easier to slip in and out with the steering wheel removed. So it seems the primary application is for racing.

Here's one for grant GT steering wheels from mustangs plus:

This won't work on the stock wheel, but I'm not sure what wheel you have.
