Default Engine ??

I've seen it asked many times over and over, so excuse the redundancy.

While waiting for more sheet metal parts to arrive, I decided to start breaking down my motor today. After removing the intake im finding 351 stamped into the block. Also, after removing the valve covers, im finding 351 stamped into the heads. The Fella I bought it from said it was 289???

Is this a good indication of it being a 351, or do I need to find more numbers elsewhere on the block to decipher?

Thanks

don't be mad, be bad, lol. probably a 351W, and be proud of it. just make sure to order 351W parts cuz they are very different from the 289 parts, lol, i figure you know this but there are certain fools out there. but ya, the 351 had a base HP of like 290 so you can get a lot of out. I've seen 351Ws with 450HP or more if you have the money
