Default Horn Connection

So I am in the middle of a steering wheel swap on my 65 Mustang: from the original busted pos( I say this only because the original was busted up) to a new Grant wheel.
Today I bought a steering wheel puller to remove the old wheel, that worked well, and now I am staring at the turn signal switch:

The turn signal device works perfectly, and looks like it was replaced not too long ago. Looking at the pic, from what I gather there should be another spring-loaded post like the one circled in red where the black circle is. These are the horn contacts, and touch this device to make the horn work without twisting a lot of wires:

Now, If you look carefully, you may see that there is no wire connecting to the terminal circled in black. There is a wire that is yellow that comes up the column, but is cut just below the point marked in with a blue circle.

What would be the best way to correct this issue?

I see that turn signal switches run about $30 for 65's, would a new one of these with the wires all intact be my best bet?

Also, I have a lot of other parts that came with the grant, I'm not sure they're needed, but I see another thread about a grant wheel install, if that HOWTO is dug up, it should help me a lot.
