Default home made body kit

im a real big fan of the the california specials. the thing i really like is the little kickup/molded spoiler on the trunk it looks like the 67 shelby fastback trunk but anyways ive seen trunk lids in catalogs going for $250 which got me thinking about making a kickup piece for the trunk lid. my father has been making fiberglass boats as a hobby since before i was born so it wouldnt be too hard to take foam , create a base, fiberglass that and mold it onto the rear of my car only costing about 25$. would i be the first person to do this kinda stuf to a stang, am i that crafty

he's not a ricer. i can smell a ricer, even over the internet. believe me. he's trying to create somethign that was originally something that came on mustangs, or shelbys. not some junk for some cheap *** foriegn car. You all know i hate foriegn junk.

It's not necessarily a bad idea I guess...if it wasnt a classic. Dont do it. It will only decrease the value of your car.

if i was a ricer i would put a non working hood scoup, spinners, a system, and shave the door handles all while leaving the engine with less displacement the a bottle of soda. trust me creating a small body panel to look like a stock california special is not rice. the cars brought into my high school shop class would make you proud of what im doing if you even call hondas real cars[sm=smiley14.gif]

give me a few minutes and ill show a ricestang

Hey I think it's a great idea. You can't say his head isn't in the right place. It's not like he's making a 2 ft. tall aluminum spoiler for his car. He's just trying to use his skills to save money and recreate an original part. GO FOR IT.
