Default Prove my mom wrong!!!

Hey guys. I was looking at that Car Insurance thread that people started and I noticed that Hagerty Car Insurance one. I am currently shopping around for insurance and showed my mom, and the only thing she could say was that it was a scam. So I decided to start this thread, hoping to be able to show her that it's no scam or anything like that. The question I need you guys to answer before I show this to her is this: What IS the reason that their insurance is so cheap. I put in my mom's information, because I am not yet 18, and they quoted her at $91/year. That IS really cheap, so I was just wondering why. And also, can you edit the amount of coverage you have with them, or is what they give you your only option? Thanks in advance for getting me on the road...hopefully![sm=smiley2.gif]

Hagerty only insures drivers of the age 25 or older. They also limit the mileage you can put on the car, like 2500 or 3500 miles. And they require that you park the car in a locked garage.

You said you were under 18. They won't insure you.

Yup, I have been with them for years and never had a problem. I don't drive my 66 anyplace near 5000 a year.

I just bought Ins from Hagerty for the '65.

12,000 coverage, 135 per year with a ZERO $0.00 dollar deductable!! Nice... [sm=groupwave.gif]

Oh... and I put 3000 miles per year.. though I really don't think I'll hit that... probably...

Most places like hagerty require you to have a daily driver too. Mine is through state farm. My daily driver is a 1970 F100 which is 450 per six months for liability. My mustang is in a different kind of class. They figure I won't be driving it too much and its 130 per six months for 20000 of coverage.

i thought they had changed that whole mileage ristriction to something like, your car is only covered if you are driving to or from a legit show or garage?
