Default Crankshaft Dampener

Disassembling my 289 and the book tells me to remove the crankshaft dampener. Well I got the front nut off, but even with all and bolts to the timing chain cover removed, oil pan removed, and using a harmonic balancer, I just can't seem to get the darn thing off. Someone plz give me some hints on if there is anything else I need to remove, unbolt, or detach. If not then tell me how to get the darn thing off.

Thanks SOO MUCH!!

Isn't that the part that you screw a steering-wheel puller on to and pull it off in one piece? Smarter guys will correct me if I'm wrong.

I did this as well w/a rental puller from Advance. The only way to correctly remove it and install. Have it rebuilt/replaced if needed while it is off (damperdoctor.com)

yeah, what they are trying to say is, you need to rent a puller to remove the balancer. I know they suck.
