Oh, well that's not really size is it? I don't know the difference, other than more leaves. I don't know what it actually does though, so I'll let someone else respond...

Wouldn't more leaves raise the ride height though? If he wants to drop it, shouldn't he go with 4-leaf mid-eye?

How many leafs determines stiffness. I have 5 leaf reverse eye. With 5 leafs and a fat sway bar it is super stiff. My car has no body roll around corners and has a ride like a racer. If you are going for a performance build you would probably want 4.5 or 5 leaf. The largest sway bars and the heaviest # coil springs will get you a really solid cornering car. Do the Shelby drop with it and yours will be pretty much a performance ride.

4 leaf is what came on your car originally. 4 1/2 leaves will give you a slightly stiffer ride, and a 5 leaf spring should only be used with a beefed up rear end using beefed up torsion bars, etc. And, if you do use 5 leaves, get ready for a bumpy ride. I replaced mine with 4 leaves, and it raised my car back up to factory specs because the old 4 leaves were sagging with age. If you are basically stock, and don't plan to put in some serious power to the rear, just stay with the 4 leaves. No more than 4 1/2.

well i plan on putting some watt links. i wont be pushing more than 275 HP so i dont think ill be needing the 5. i think 4.5 is my choice. which size sway bar would you reccomend?

Wow, are you sure on the Watts? My understanding is that you only need that for serious corner carving "Open Track Racing." It is a pretty expensive mod for a standard street driver car. IMHO you would be better off with standard style sway bar, performance leafs, and nice shocks. But, I do not corner carve, nor do I know your application.

That is probably the right idea. Is you car driveable now so so can drive it a good bit before the suspension upgrade, then drive it after so so can compare?

Yeah, you don't have the HP to warrant the Watts. The torsion bar will be the 3/4 inch jobbie.....

Does a wider swaybar mean more stiffness, or just stronger?
