Default Pony Panel Upgrade. Any modifications needed?

I bought a set of the pony panels but my 65 never came with them. My buddy told me that you would need to do some modifications to make them fit. has anyone upgraded from regular door panels to pony?? if so, what is involved?? i have the panels, chrome trim, and all handles.

I am planning the same for the interior of my 66 and judging from parts catolges the only real differnce is the pony interior had a door light mounted it the door metal which will need to be cut in if you want it.

The panels are fatter so it takes a different window regulator with a longer stud where the handle goes on. The same with the door opener.
