Default 1,000 engine stand

A 1,000 pound engine stand would have plenty of capacity for my 302 and all of its accesories, right?

I would think so...a 302 doesn't weigh anywhere near that.

That will hold a 460 with a blower. a 302 will probably not even make it sag. We have pulled 302 shortblocks from mustangs/fairlanes etc. by hand, no hoist just two guys lifting it. I dont recomend you try that though... I have benched more than the shortblock weighs...

I like the stands that have 4 wheels and a bottom support that looks like a C rather than the ones that have a T shaped base and only three wheels. The 4 wheeled ones arent as apt to tip over
