Default Quater panels

ive got two mustangs, one is for parts and im restoring the other. the parts car has perfect rear quarters and i was wondering, how hard would it be to take the quarters off the parts car and put them on my car? anybody ever done it before?

might be easier to restore the one with the better body lol.

well i thought about that but the one withe the good reaquarters is rusted out bad up frond, and its a 6cyl

That might be really hard. Because usually when someone is cutting out the old quarters for the new ones, they do it in sections and then cut off the spot welds. It's going to be very hard to keep it all in one piece and cut the welds and stuff. Sounds like a fun project I guess...

thats a great article but my doors and trunklid have been removed, is there any way to do this job without them installed?

Whether or not the doors and trunk lid are installed or not has nothing to do with the procedure to replace the quarters.

well in the article it talks about lining up the doors and trunkilid so thats what i was going by, it really is a good article
